What exactly is a whipped tallow balm?
Grass-fed beef tallow that's been rendered, filtered, then air-whipped with other skin-safe oils and butters. The result is a pillowy, spreadable balm that melts on contact with body heat and sinks in without that 'greasy' feeling raw tallow is known for.
Will Pure Good's tallow balm smell like beef?
No. Our tallow is double-filtered and, in scented versions, whipped with essential oils (lavender, citrus, cedarwood, patchouli, etc.). Even the unscented Pure Tallow Balm is essentially scent-neutral — you'll notice the jar, not the animal.
Is tallow skincare safe for sensitive skin?
Yes — tallow's fatty acid profile is unusually close to human sebum, which is why it's been used for centuries on chapped skin, eczema, and cradle cap. Our Pure Tallow Balm (unscented) is specifically for the most sensitive skin of all ages.
What's the difference between the Revival Balm and the Vitamin C Serum?
The Revival Balm is a whole-skin balm with essential oils chosen for anti-aging signals — it moisturizes, protects, and smells lovely. The Vitamin C Serum is a targeted active-ingredient serum with tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate (a stable form of vitamin C) and jojoba — use them together, not as substitutes.
How is the Face & Body Tallow Stick different from the jarred balm?
Same citrus-vitamin-C blend in a twist-up stick format — easier for travel, elbows, shins, and on-the-go application. The jar is better for larger areas; the stick is better for the gym bag.
How long does a jar last?
An 8oz jar of daily body balm lasts most people 4-8 weeks. A jar used as face cream only lasts 4-6 months. Tallow balm has a shelf life of about 18 months sealed, 9-12 months opened.

Pure Good is an agricultural product — our tallow comes from our family ranch's grass-fed cattle, raised for food. No testing is done on animals, and no ingredient in any balm is tested on animals. We consider whole-animal use the most respectful form of animal agriculture.
