Letter 001 · The Founders

Two people, one bathroom, too many bad smells.

I want to own the bathroom space and all the products men use in it.

Laurel Bath House started in an LA bathroom in 2024, when David Teitelbaum spent six months developing an up-cycled-tree-particle fragrance for fine perfume, and Laura Pandolfo — his wife, an LA fitness instructor — sniffed the vial and told him it should be a body wash.

That pivot became the brand. Dave's background is unusual for beauty: he built a clothing label that dressed The Weeknd and Juice WRLD, made shoes from recycled sex toys, and ran marketing on the Biden campaign. Laura runs tone and voice. Neither of them came from cosmetics.

The result is what the middle of the bathroom shelf usually isn't — custom-crafted scent work paired with vegan, phthalates-free, paraben-free formulation. Eau de Parfums at the top of the lineup, body creams and deodorants underneath, and a sense of humor running through all of it.

The Research · Clean + Effective

Luxury scent shouldn't require mystery chemistry.

The Laurel formulation floor is vegan, phthalates-free, paraben-free, non-GMO, and pesticide-free — verified by the brand against its ingredient panels. Body washes run on gentle coconut-derived surfactants with vitamins A, C, E and niacinamide. Deodorants use broad-spectrum antibacterial enzymes instead of aluminum.

The Eau de Parfum lineup is developed against University of Geneva Brain & Behaviour Laboratory research connecting scent to cognitive function — which is why Araki 40 and Layer Pack 001 are positioned as stress-support fragrances rather than seasonal hits.

All of this is produced in Los Angeles. Laurel Bath House is stocked at Goop, Nordstrom, Urban Outfitters, and FWRD, and has been covered by Forbes, Fast Company, Beauty Independent, and Dieline.

FAQ · Bathroom questions

Laurel Bath House, answered straight.

Who is Laurel Bath House?

A luxury fragrance and body-care brand founded in Los Angeles in 2024 by David Teitelbaum and Laura Pandolfo. Positioned as the middle path between ultra-clean products that smell boring and designer fragrance that contains questionable ingredients. Stocked at Goop, Nordstrom, Urban Outfitters, and FWRD, and covered by Forbes, Fast Company, Beauty Independent, and Dieline.

Is Laurel Bath House really clean / non-toxic?

The brand's public formulation standard is vegan, phthalates-free, paraben-free, non-GMO, and pesticide-free, and all products are cruelty-free. Deodorants are aluminum-free and use broad-spectrum antibacterial enzymes. This is Laurel's own ingredient-panel standard, not a third-party organic certification like GOTS or EWG Verified — treat it the way you'd treat any brand's self-declared clean-label claim.

What's the difference between the Eau de Parfum and the body bars?

The Eau de Parfum is 50 ml liquid fragrance at EDP-strength concentration (roughly 15–20% fragrance oil), worn on skin and clothing. The fragrance bars (Nudie, Araki 40, Mourning Wood, Cuffed) are solid scent, closer to a fragrance bar soap or solid cologne — great for showers and travel, lower longevity, lighter throw. Many Laurel customers layer a bar with the matching EDP for a longer scent trail.

Why is this brand sold on Curated Sense and not just laurelbathhouse.com?

Curated Sense is an authorized Shopify Collective partner for Laurel Bath House, meaning inventory, fulfillment, and returns flow through the same authentic supply chain as the brand's own site. You get the same product, stock, and scent batch — alongside our other 22 curated brands in one cart, with free shipping and 30-day returns.

What does each scent actually smell like?

See the Fragrance Rack above for the verified notes we have direct from the brand — Apres Ski (whiskey / maraschino / cold musk), Nudie (orange + bergamot / sweet cream + vanilla / sandalwood + cedar + musk), and the University of Geneva research-backed unisex scents (Araki 40, Layer Pack 001). The Cannoli and Mourning Wood EDPs are the brand's breakout gourmand and woody flagships respectively.

Is it safe during pregnancy / for sensitive skin?

This is educational information, not medical advice. Laurel Bath House's formulation is free of parabens, phthalates, and aluminum, which are the three ingredients most often flagged by OB-GYNs and dermatologists. However, any fine-fragrance product contains fragrance compounds that can trigger individual sensitivities. If you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a diagnosed skin condition, patch-test on your inner forearm for 48 hours and consult your physician before introducing any new fragrance product.
