Merino Wool Beanie in Heather Brown

Our merino wool beanie is an essential for every little one’s wardrobe. The perfect accessory to keep baby and toddlers warm and comfy all fall and winter long. We chose merino wool because it is an incredibly soft fabric with some amazing properties. It is thermoregulating, meaning it will help a new baby maintain a steady body temperature and stay cool when it's hot, and warm when it's cold. It's naturally antibacterial, breathable, durable, odor resistant, and self-cleaning. 

Care: There is no need to prewash before wearing (this has already been done for you :) Merino wool is an amazing fabric and it requires very minimal cleaning or washing. Merino wool contains lanolin, a substance that prevents the growth of bacteria and repels dirt. When the lanolin in the wool gets wet it turns to lanolin soap and helps clean the fabric. The majority of stains or spills can be cleaned with a damp cloth. 

Merino wool will not absorb odors! Merino wool loves humidity so to freshen up the pieces, simply place them in the bathroom while you take a shower or allow them to hang outside overnight and the moisture will have a cleaning effect on the merino wool. If washing is necessary, we recommend hand washing only with a very small amount of wool detergent. Use cold or lukewarm water and do not soak. Air dry laying flat. We do not recommend washing or drying in the machine, even on delicate or a wool cycle.
