Magnetic closures.
Nicole Reilly designed the magnetic system after the second of her two children was born and she'd had enough of fumbling buttons during night changes. Medical-grade neodymium, sealed inside two layers of certified-organic cotton, rated for 5,000+ open-close cycles. The kid sleeps through it.

Across the catalog you'll see the same prints across pajamas, rompers, and bottoms — these are the ones the team signs first.
Three fibers, three sleeps
The brand picks the fiber to match the sleep — not the other way around. Here's the playbook.
Modal
Softest of the three. Temperature-regulating — wicks heat in summer, traps a thin warm layer in winter. Used for the convertible footy pajamas.
Tencel® Lyocell
Most antibacterial. Most durable across washes. Naturally moisture-wicking. Used for the year-round pajama sets.
Organic Cotton
Most breathable for hot sleepers. Most familiar texture. Used for the rompers, knits, sets, and bottoms.
For Hayden Elizabeth.
Nicole Reilly conceived Dear Hayden during naps, after her second child was born. The frustration was specific: every cute thing was impractical at 2 a.m. — buttons that didn't undo one-handed, snaps that misaligned, fasteners that needed two parents. The brand started with a single magnetic-closure romper.
The name is a love letter. Hayden Elizabeth is Nicole's daughter. Every collection's first piece is sketched with her in mind — what would a kid grow into, sleep in, climb a fence in, and pass down to a sibling.

Every Dear Hayden order contributes 1% to The Pajama Program, a US nonprofit that distributes pajamas and bedtime books to children in temporary care, foster care, and emergency-housing settings. The brand publishes annual disbursement totals on the DH Gives Back page.
Frequently asked
Sourced from Dear Hayden's published FAQ + Curated Sense customer questions through April 2026.
Are Dear Hayden's organic-cotton certifications real?
Yes — Dear Hayden produces in GOTS-certified factories in Portugal. GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) is the most stringent organic-textile certification commercially available. It audits the entire supply chain from raw fiber through dyeing, finishing, and manufacturing, and prohibits 1,400+ chemicals including formaldehyde, chlorine bleach, and azo dyes. Each Dear Hayden product page lists the specific certification, and the brand publishes its factory partners.
Why magnetic closures instead of buttons or snaps?
Nicole Reilly designed the magnetic system after the second of her two children was born and she'd had enough of fumbling buttons during 2 a.m. diaper changes. The magnets are medical-grade neodymium, sealed inside two layers of certified-organic cotton (no skin contact), tested to the same drop-and-pull standards as snap closures, and rated for 5,000+ open-close cycles. Dressing time goes from ~90 seconds to ~12.
What's the difference between modal, Tencel, and organic cotton in baby pajamas?
Modal (made from beech tree pulp) is the softest and the most temperature-regulating — it wicks heat in summer and traps a thin warm layer in winter. Tencel (lyocell from eucalyptus) is the most antibacterial and the most durable across washes. Organic cotton is the most breathable for hot sleepers and the most familiar texture. Dear Hayden uses all three depending on the garment; the brand publishes the fiber blend on every product page.
Are the merino wool pieces itchy?
No — Dear Hayden uses 19.5-micron Australian Merino, which is below the 'no-itch' threshold (most adults can't feel anything coarser than 22 microns; below 21.5 microns is rated 'next-to-skin' for infants by the Wool Standards Australia certification). The yarn is also superwash-treated, which means you can machine-wash it without felting.
Does Dear Hayden have a giving-back program?
Yes — DH Gives Back. The brand donates 1% of every order to The Pajama Program, a US nonprofit that distributes pajamas and bedtime books to children in temporary care, foster care, and emergency-housing settings. The brand publishes annual disbursement totals on the DH Gives Back page.
Sizing — does Dear Hayden run small, true, or large?
True. Dear Hayden uses the standard US baby/toddler size run (NB through 4T, then 5/6, 7/8) and dresses are cut on the slightly long side for layered wear. The pajama footy converts to a regular cuff once a foot grows past the foot size, which lets each set last roughly 2 size growths instead of 1. Each product page lists weight + height ranges.
