EXPIGMENT %4 Cream 30 gr

Expigment 4% Cream is a dark spot cream made by Orva İlaç, a pharmaceutical manufacturer in İzmir, Türkiye. Its active ingredient is hydroquinone at 40 mg per gram (4%), used to gradually lighten darkened patches of skin.

How to Use

1. Patch test first. Apply a small amount to an undamaged area of skin and check it 24 hours later. If you see irritation, do not continue.
2. Apply twice daily to the darkened area, unless a doctor tells you otherwise. A thin layer is enough.
3. Use sun protection every single day. See the note below, this step decides whether the cream works.
4. Give it up to 2 months. If you see no lightening after two months of consistent use, stop using it.

Sun Protection Is Not Optional

This cream lightens skin. It does not protect it. The manufacturer is explicit on both points: the cream is not to be used to prevent sunburn, and the treated area must be kept out of sunlight or covered with a sunscreen, both during treatment and after.

Without daily sun protection the pigment comes back and the two months you spent are wasted. Pair it with a broad-spectrum SPF 50 and apply the sunscreen every morning over the treated area.

Important Safety Information

• Do not use if you are sensitive or allergic to any of the ingredients.
• Hydroquinone has not been studied in pregnancy or in children under 12. If you are pregnant or nursing, talk to your doctor before use.
• Possible side effect: localised contact dermatitis. No systemic side effects have been identified.
• For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes.
• Stop after 2 months if there is no visible change.
• Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place.
