What Is Boob Tape?
Boob tape (also called breast tape or body tape) is a stretchy, skin-adherent tape used to lift, shape, and support breast tissue for outfits where a traditional bra isn't possible — deep-V necklines, backless dresses, strapless styles, or sheer fabrics. Unlike bras, boob tape works with the outfit's structure rather than beneath it.

Skin Prep: The Step Most People Skip
The single most common boob tape failure is poor skin preparation. Tape adhesion requires clean, completely dry, lotion-free skin. Even residual body lotion from earlier in the day will reduce adhesion strength significantly. Before applying:
- Shower or cleanse the application area
- Pat completely dry — no moisture
- Avoid applying lotion, sunscreen, or body oil to the chest area before tape application
- Wait until after you've done your hair and makeup to apply tape — hair products and steam can affect the area
Basic Application Technique
For lift: Start from the underside of the breast. Lift the breast tissue to the desired position and lay the tape along this path — anchoring below and pulling upward. Smooth as you go. Multiple shorter strips are more reliable than one long piece. For the nipple area, apply the included nipple cover before the tape to prevent tape-to-nipple contact.
For side coverage: Start from the side panel and tape inward, compressing and shaping toward center. Useful for plunge and low-cut necklines that risk side exposure.
Removal Tips
Remove slowly and carefully — never rip. Peel from one edge, pulling back parallel to skin (not perpendicular). If tape feels too tight to remove comfortably, apply baby oil or coconut oil along the edge to weaken adhesion before peeling. The oil breaks the tape bond gradually without trauma to skin.
