KYIV MODERNISM COLLECTION IS INSPIRED BY THE KYIV BUILDINGS OF THE MODERNIST PERIOD The period of the 1960s-1980s is considered a pivotal era in architecture, marked by a radical renewal of forms and structures, a departure from ornamentation and nationalization, and a functional approach. Valuable and innovative objects emerged, distinguished by simplicity in form and construction, boldness, and complexity in compositional solutions. These buildings are devoid of unnecessary aesthetic "noise", and not overloaded with details, color, or decoration. Each element is justified, aligning with the idea and contributing to a cohesive composition of volumes and lines. Adhering to the principles of modernist architects, the KYIV MODERNISM collection has been created, reimagining well-known buildings of the Kyiv modernism period: the Vernadsky Library, Salut Hotel, Mir Hotel, Memorial Park, the building of the Physics Faculty at Taras Shevchenko National University, and the 'Flying Saucer' on Lybidska Square.
